Blog #3 Hard Ware and Computer Forensic

The topics covered in last week’s classes are hardware and computer forensic.  The discussion of hardware give me sort of idea how my device would be build. Since my device is a GPS like mobile device, it would need a NIC to connect to the internet, but the NIC would only keep the wireless component and abandon the wired connection socket. Moreover, the device would use an over-average graphic card that can display high solution pictures, because a better display screen would help us provide more accurate information.  Other than that, the device would be pretty much like a GPS or a smart phone. I’m thinking about incorporating the text message or voice message in this device, by doing that this device would provide not only first class of communication service (updates on line) but also second class communication service (the voice message and text message) and that would increase the interaction between users which would enhance our service.
The idea of computer forensic is new to me; I was not familiar to the process of computer forensic before the class. However, it did give me some insight about how to design my device and customer services.  The device would have a hard drive that contains the users’ information and since the computer forensic technique is able to recover all the information is a hard drive even the deleted information. It would be our responsibility to protect the information of our customers, and the crucial step is to prevent the device from exposing to the illegal identity thief.  So in order to do that, we would have a customer service team that take charge of the recycle of all the used devices and would destroy the informational storages in a proper way.
